Supplier Code of Conduct

Purpose

The company is committed to ensuring that all work conducted by or for the business is done so in accordance with company guidelines, standards and corporate values. This extends to ensuring that the operations and activities of suppliers and subcontractors are in compliance with this commitment.

The purpose of this policy is to communicate the means by which a service provider qualifies as a preferred supplier to the company.

Aims and Objectives

We will ensure that all suppliers and subcontractors engaged by or on behalf of the company are competent and agree to fulfil their duties in complying with any Act, Regulation, Code of Practice or Standard that may apply to the work or workplace, and to comply with company policies, procedures, standards and instructions at all times.

Hudor management relies on external service providers to enhance its business operations and the quality of services provided to its clients. A service provider will be engaged as and when needed to fulfil a role when a specialised service or function is unable to be provided internally.

Responsibilities

Hudor will ensure that all suppliers and subcontractors engaged by or on behalf of the company are competent and agree to fulfil their duties in complying with any Act, Regulation, Code of Practice or Standard that may apply to the work or workplace, and to comply with company policies, procedures, standards and instructions at all times.

Suppliers and subcontractors are engaged in accordance with the company Assessment and Selection of Supplier and subcontractor Procedure, are instructed in any work health, safety and environmental matters.

The qualification and approval process requires that the service provider;

  • Has a current ABN and sign off the terms of engagement.
  • Submits their OHS/WHS plan and insurance for independent assessment.
  • Meets all statutory requirements.
  • Provides induction training as prescribed by Hudor operations and the client.
  • A regular audit and inspection program will be undertaken by Hudor contracts managers to ensure ongoing compliance.

Breach of this policy may be regarded as misconduct, leading to disciplinary action which may result in termination of employment or engagement. An individual may also be exposed to criminal or civil liability for a breach of relevant legislation.
